The CRCNA are committed to the creation of a network of colleagues involved in colorectal cancer nursing. We anticipate that this network will provide support, allow information exchange and promote the identity of colorectal cancer nursing as a specialty

Current Aims

• Promote an awareness of colorectal cancer nursing as a specialty

• Create a credible network of like minded colleagues to provide support and information exchange (articles, conferences, study days)

• Facilitate links with relevant specialty groups (stoma care, coloproctology, oncology)

Future aims

• Build a body of knowledge specific to colorectal cancer through our group meetings and website

• Organize a yearly colorectal cancer information day for nurses to highlight key changes in the management of Colorectal Cancer

• Network with other colorectal cancer related professional bodies at home and abroad through our website

• Develop a patient education and support component to our association
