The CRCNA executive committee was formed in November 2007. A group of nursing professionals involved in colorectal cancer nursing met together and found it so useful that we decided to form the CRCNA. Whilst there are groups for cancer nurses in general and for stoma care and coloproctology, there seemed to be none in Ireland for colorectal cancer alone. We decided to set up an association to facilitate communiction networks for experienced nurses working with colorectal cancer patients. It is envisaged that this will include interested professionals involved in the screening, diagnosis, treatment or follow up of colorectal cancer patients.

The executive committee (below) all work specifically with colorectal cancer.
